CHIEF'S

       CORNER

Hello! Welcome to the Gordonville Fire Protection District. The Gordonville Fire Department was organized in the mid 1970s to provide fire protection to the village of Gordonville and the surrounding areas. Since then, the once village fire department has became a fire district expanding its services to cover a seventy seven square mile area which includes the towns of Gordonville, Dutchtown, and Tilsit. The Gordonville Fire Protection District responds not only to fire related emergencies, but also provides emergency medical services. Our volunteer organization is composed of 30 members of the surrounding area with over ninety five percent being trained in both firefighting and medical. Fire and emergency services is an ever changing field, which now today includes such areas like terrorism and hazardous materials mitigation, in addition to firefighting and medical. Gordonville Fire Protection District continues to grow and improve its services through training and education and remains one of the leading fire districts in Cape Girardeau County. Our firefighters and first responders remain committed to the citizens of our district and give our word that we will be there in the event of an emergency to provide the best quality service possible.
